De studie beschrijft een zoektocht met vele bergen en dalen naar de astronomische oorsprong van de Middeleeuwse iconografie verbonden met de legenden en attributen van  Sint Jacobus de Meerdere, zoals schelpen, stokken, kalebassen en andere pelgrim symbolen. Het is tevens een spirituele zoektocht naar de mythologische wortels van het christendom waar wetenschap, geloof en bijgeloof elkaar ontmoeten.
